How this estimate works
Temperature is the arithmetic mean of daily mean temperatures. The high and low are averages of daily maxima and minima. Wind is the arithmetic mean of daily mean wind speeds at 10 metres, in km/h. Precipitation includes rain and the water equivalent of snow; its mean includes dry days. Wet-day frequency counts days with at least 1 mm and is a historical frequency, not a calibrated forecast probability.
The typical range contains the middle 80% of historical daily mean temperatures (10th–90th percentiles). The illustration is decorative; no cloud cover or current conditions are inferred. Fifty years are equally weighted, so recent climate changes are not separately adjusted. A single calendar day gives only 50 samples; 29 February uses the 12 or 13 leap days available.
